Appointment of Tressa Whitby follows streamlining of OKI’s channel sales structure

As part of a move to streamline its channel sales structure, OKI has appointed Tressa Whitby as its new head of reseller sales for the UK. The new role has been created to bring together the print vendor’s Executive Series and traditional IT reseller teams into one umbrella organisation.

“I am looking forward to the challenge of heading up our new approach to reseller sales,” says Whitby. “Over the past few years the emergence of managed print services has brought the two channels closer together. The new structure will drive efficiencies for OKI and will also allow us to provide our resellers with greater flexibility to sell a broader range of products to wider array of customers.”

In her new post, Whitby will focus on driving up revenues from its reseller partners, ensuring existing partners understand the value proposition and recruiting partners that can add value either through managed print services or through an application-based sales approach.

“Tressa’s in-depth expertise and experience in the printing solutions sector coupled with her deep-rooted knowledge and understanding of OKI’s channel partners makes her ideally suited to the challenge of redefining our channel offering and driving its future success.” says OKI’s UK sales director Nick Munton. “I am confident she will be a great success in her new role.”

Prior to taking on her current role, Whitby was UK channel sales manager for OKI Printing Solutions, responsible for managing the relationship with OKI’s hardware and consumable distributors as well as its mail order, ecommerce and other strategic partners.

Whitby was first appointed by OKI in 1996 as an account manager for hardware distribution and has subsequently worked for the company in a broad range of channel management posts.
