Samsung recruits Xerox sales exec Mark Ash in bid to drive B2B market share

Samsung has appointed Mark Ash as general manager for its UK & Ireland print business.

Ash (pictured), who was previously corporate & public sector sales manager at Xerox UK, will be responsible for overall strategy and execution at Samsung’s print division, and revenue plan for 2013.

Graham Long, VP corporate sales & IT solutions, Samsung UK & Ireland, says Ash’s appointment is part of a plan to strengthen the vendor’s presence in the B2B market: “The print division represents a key and strategic growth area for Samsung's global IT business. Mark’s appointment is integral to fulfilling our ambitious plans and I’m delighted he has decided to take on the role to lead the team and drive our growth in the print market,” he comments.

Ash says his main focus will be to grow the firm’s market share and develop relationships with customers, IT resellers and distributors. “This will see the creation of additional roles to support the new Samsung Managed Print Services (MPS) offering and ensure Samsung partners are provided with dedicated industry sales support,” he comments.

“I'm confident we are in a very strong position especially with our newly refreshed best of breed product range that provide tangible value for end users.”
