The Carphone Warehouse seeks to improve smartphone knowledge
Mobile phone retailer, The Carphone Warehouse (CPW), has hired professional services company Verridian to provide its in-store staff with customer-focused smartphone training.
The Connected World workshops have been designed by Verridian, in conjunction with the retailer, and will focus on teaching employees on the leading operating systems, software options, smartphone services and packages. Over 1,000 managers will be taking part in the training scheme and trained-up staff will be able to better inform customers about smartphones and customise handsets to their specific requirements, enabling them to walk away with a handset capable of email, downloads and no additional set-up.
Verridian has considerable experience of the mobile sector and its client portfolio includes mobile operator O2, manufacturer Nokia and retailer Phones4U.
Simon Fort, account manager at Verridian who is responsible for overseeing the entire project, says: “Our training team has taken time to understand the culture, values and critical success factors for The Carphone Warehouse’s smartphone vision, and a training package has been developed based on this to provide the best engagement experience possible.”
Richard Priddle, retail learning and development manager at CPW, adds: “The surge in demand for smartphones and tablet devices has revolutionised the mobile market and we want to ensure that CPW customers continue to receive the best customer service and support available.
“It’s key for us that customers can rely on our team to set up and install all the services and features they want on their smartphones, and can advise them on any issues or products if needed.”
