COMPUTERLINKS creates one-stop-shop model for virtualisation partners
COMPUTERLINKS has announced exclusive distribution agreements in the UK and Ireland with two new vendors; business continuity and disaster recovery software specialist SteelEye, and NetEx, which delivers WAN optimisation software for virtual environments.
The distributor says the new additions will enable its resellers to migrate data to off-site locations while keeping users connected during periods of planned or unplanned downtime. The SteelEye range of data replication, application protection, high-availability clustering and disaster recovery solutions offer organisations continuous availability of business-critical data. NetEx’s HyperIP software is a virtualisation-ready WAN optimisation solution, suited to securely moving large data sets across WANs, particularly between datacentres.
Says David Ellis, director of new technologies and services at COMPUTERLINKS: “Along with The Virtual Machine Company, our existing product portfolio and suite of Professional Services, COMPUTERLINKS can now provide resellers with a one-stop solution to ensure their clients’ critical data and VMs are protected.”
The announcement follows COMPUTERLINKS’ recent remodelling of its business around new and emerging technologies such as virtualisation, cloud computing and IP-based physical security.
