ANS Group awarded Certified Partner status with view to grow virtualisation business.

ANS Group is the latest company to achieve Certified Partner status in Dell’s PartnerDirect programme.

As a Certified Partner, the enterprise architecture specialist will receive enhanced support, training and development activities.

“In the past, our relationship with businesses that used Dell hardware has sometimes been hard to manage as, whilst ANS Group would advise on a solution and then implement the system, the hardware would come directly from Dell,” explains Paul Sweeney, managing director of ANS Group.

”The process could become slightly disjointed and potentially lead to delays but, now ANS Group is a certified partner with Dell’s PartnerDirect, we can be in control of every stage and ensure a cost effective and smooth operation.

“We see a huge opportunity around virtualisation and infrastructure optimisation, which our partnership will help us capitalise on Dell’s hardware – including Dell EqualLogic iSCSI storage systems – provides the perfect platform for virtual environments which are more cost-effective and simpler to manage for our customers.”

“Having just celebrated the first year anniversary of PartnerDirect, we are continuing to see interest from resellers in the UK – like ANS Group – who see the value in joining Dell’s partner programme,” Paul Harrison, UK Channel Lead at Dell told Channel Pro. “We have taken on board feedback from our partners to ensure that as PartnerDirect matures we can give channel organizations a very clear path to profitability.

“In 2009, we will continue to evolve PartnerDirect by accelerating advocacy and collaboration between our direct and channel businesses and will also be introducing a number of new schemes and accreditations which we believe will accelerate our channel business significantly.”

In December 2007, Dell launched a dedicated partner online community to discuss how Dell can meet the needs of its partners.
