Compellent sales put Atlanta on map

Server & storage virtualisation specialist Atlanta Technology has revealed it is the fastest growing reseller of Compellent’s Fluid Data Storage solutions on an International level for the last 12-months.

Sales growth of more than 150 percent in 2010 has seen Atlanta become the fourth largest Compellent (NYSE:CML) reseller in the UK (out of a current total of 15) and the seventh largest in Compellent’s International business.

Says Andy Hardy, managing director of international sales at Compellent: “Atlanta was originally selected by Compellent as a specialist reseller due to the team’s in-depth knowledge and experience of supplying and supporting advanced IT solutions to businesses throughout the UK. It has now gone on to becoming our fastest growing reseller partner in the country and is a top five UK partner, all in the space of 12 months.”

Adds Simon Kelson, managing director of Atlanta: “Last year proved to be an extremely successful year for Atlanta as a business. The Compellent SAN fits well with our complete managed service offering and therefore we have witnessed a dramatic increase in sales growth during 2010.”
Dell (NASDAQ:DELL) is in the processing of acquiring Compellent for $960m.
