Livedrive launches reseller programme
Livedrive is targeting SME resellers with a new programme that encourage sales of its online backup solution.
The firm is marketing the service on its ease-of-use. Once its backup software is installed on a PC it works in the background to protect files as the user works – there’s no need to set a schedule or remember to click a button. Once the files are backed up online, customers can access them through a web portal – including playing their music, viewing their photos and watching movies.
Says Andrew Michael, Livedrive’s CEO: “We know that small business has been crying out for a solution like the new Livedrive reseller scheme – they’ve been asking us for it since we started. Small computer shops, web designers and IT professionals all regularly help their customers with data loss and data backup – and now they can partner with Livedrive to provide a robust and secure solution that not only helps their customer, but also adds revenue to their business.”
The new scheme allows SME resellers to sell an unlimited number of these accounts for £39.95 per month. All of the accounts come with unlimited storage space, desktop software, and iPhone application. Resellers can also optionally re-brand the service with their name and logo for £199 extra per year.
“Our new reseller scheme gives small businesses the chance to add extra margin to their existing products by attaching a Livedrive Backup account at no extra cost,” says Livedrive partner manager, Dominic Cross. “This has the potential to make their business so much more competitive – they can use the extra margin to strengthen their existing deals or to simply increase their bottom line. It also lets SMEs provide a product that their customers will use every day, assuring that they are front of mind at all times.”
