Vendor encourages solution selling of its storage and server products as part of new initiative.

Fujitsu is offering its resellers increased margins on all combinations of its PRIMERGY and ETERNUS ranges as part of its recently-launched ‘Dream Team’ initiative.
Launched last month, Dream Team encourages resellers to combine Fujitsu’s ETERNUS DX60/DX80 disk storage systems and x86 PRIMERGY servers as a package. Fujitsu has devised a number of specific combined solutions, providing resellers with a set of ready-made propositions that they can take to their customers. The first three My Very First bundled solutions meet customer needs for VMware-based virtualisation, high availability solutions, and storage area networks (SAN).

To encourage resellers to engage in the programme, Fujitsu is offering a 10 percent rebate on registered deals for any PRIMERGY or ETERNUS solution and a 15 percent rebate on combined Dream Team configurations.
Partners will also have access to special pricing for competitive bids and will be able call in support from Fujitsu’s own sales specialists. Fujitsu’s says its Enterprise Bid Desk will prepare quotations to help resellers have a chance of beating rival offers. Where appropriate, they will put forward suitable Dream Team combinations.
Says Paul Hoey, head of product marketing for Fujitsu UK: “Fujitsu is fully committed to supporting partners and our past experience shows that, by getting our own specialist sales team involved, resellers can increase their chances of winning deals by as much as 30 percent.”
