10 join as interest in smarter desktop virtualisation accelerates

Application and infrastructure monitoring and virtualisation specialist Centrix Software, has signed up more than ten new channel partners in the UK over the last three months following a push into the channel. Partners that have come on board include Phoenix Software, Prolinx, Richardson Eyres, Xceed Consulting, Nebulas Solutions Group and Aegis IT.

As Will Barrett, team leader business development, Phoenix Software explains: “Virtualisation and software asset management have been the mainstays of our business over the past few years, and Centrix Software offers a solution that fits extremely well with these two core offerings.”

The addition of the partners follows the announcement of Intercept, Kelway and MTI who were awarded Gold Partner status in February. Centrix has reported strong growth driven in part by widespread interest in virtualisation. According to a recent research survey carried out by the firm, more than a third of organisations are considering desktop virtualisation implementations. Of these respondents, cost reduction was listed as the primary reason for implementation, followed by improving the end-user experience and support for remote / branch office locations.

Centrix now has 14 partners following the formal launch of a partner programme in 2009 when it appointed DNS Arrow as its sole UK distributor. The latest is LETN, a provider of professional services and hosting solutions that will be using Centrix WorkSpace Discovery and iQ to get more information on the applications and infrastructure that its customers have in place, and support the migration and service planning for customers moving over to the company’s hosting platform.
