Panda Security bolsters management team
Cloud security vendor Panda Security has announced two new key appointments within its UK marketing and sales operations. Suzanne Worbey joins Panda Security from SafeNet as marketing manager for UK and Ireland and Alison Heath has been appointed as the sales director for the region.
Worbey previously held the position of regional marketing manager, EMEA at SafeNet, where she was responsible for mapping strategic direction and overseeing execution of all direct, channel and PR activities for the EMEA region.
Worbey comments: “I’m delighted to join Panda at what looks set to be an exciting time for the company and to be part of a dynamic, forward thinking and dedicated team. Panda has been at the forefront of security innovations for more than twenty years and continues to lead the market with new advancements, most notably the recent launch of the first cloud-based security services for home users and SMBs. I’m looking forward to continuing to build the Panda brand and our market share across the region and will drive forward with our plans to communicate our message to our target markets.”
Meanwhile, prior to joining Panda Security, Heath managed the security client base at IT services and solutions provider 2e2 and has also worked at Sophos, heading up the key partner team. The firm says she will play a key role in driving sales through the channel and building the customer base of Panda Security across the region.
Says Heath: “My aim is to help establish the company as a market leader and I’m looking forward to working with the team to build on its existing client base and develop new opportunities. There is huge potential for Panda to capitalise on its reputation for robust, innovative and cost-effective solutions at a time when security threats are escalating in both scale and complexity. Looking ahead, we have the foundations in place to strengthen this position and will continue to grow the company and its market share.”
