Vigil Software wins Safend distributor award

For the second year in succession security distributor Vigil Software has been named EMEA Distributor of the Year 2008/2009 by endpoint data protection vendor Safend.

To mark the award, a plaque in recognition of the distributor’s efforts was presented to Vigil Software directors Alex Teh and Murray Pearce by Ofrit Cohen, director of channel sales at Safend, who flew in from Safend's head office in Israel earlier this month.

During the announcement, Safend’s Ofrit Cohen notes: “Not only have Vigil achieved a significant rate of 200 percent year on year sales growth, the company also invests heavily in developing and maintaining its channel, from selecting the right channel partners, through training both their technical and sales force, to doing many joint marketing and sales activities, such as seminars and call-out days.”

In accepting the award, Vigil Software commercial director Alex Teh says: “We have achieved some excellent customer wins with organisations like Caerphilly Borough County Council and Nottingham University Hospital adopting Safend’s encryption products and have many more opportunities in the pipeline.  We’re planning to continue our winning streak for a third year.”
