SentryBay builds channel with distribution partner Tekdata
Security software specialist SentryBay has signed a new distribution agreement with Tekdata Distribution, the 'IT Security Centre of Excellence' within Micro-P.
SentryBay offers protection against online identity theft and key logging malware, and the agreement provides Tekdata with access to vendor’s suite of products, including its Enterprise Data Protection Suite (DPS) and Secure Access System (SAS).
In 2009 data breaches cost organisations US$204 per exposed record on average - an almost two percent increase over 2008. The number of breaches that were caused by malicious attacks and botnets doubled from 12 percent in 2008 to 24 percent in 2009. SentryBay says that by overlaying existing solutions and providing real-time protection of all data entered online, the DPS protects against corporate data breaches and identity theft.
Meanwhile, the SentryBay SAS provides a two-way authenticated connection using its own secure browser – all within three seconds.
Says Dave Waterson, CEO at SentryBay: “Tekdata has a fantastic base of resellers in the UK who will now have access to our product range. Clearly there are huge opportunities for resellers to leverage the current need for an extra layer of security software with their customers – we are looking forward to working with Tekdata and its reseller partners to fill the gap.”
Jason Hill, sales director at Tekdata adds: “SentryBay’s suite of products will complement and enhance Tekdata’s security solution portfolio. The products also offer resellers a fantastic opportunity to boost their margins with software that’s both leading edge and in high demand.”
