Computer 2000 drives Microsoft specialisations with new channel programme
Computer 2000 has unveiled a new dedicated channel programme for Microsoft (MSFT) resellers.
Interconnect Platinum, which the distributor says is the first of its kind in the UK, gives resellers access to a team of Business Development Managers and a specialist Microsoft Solutions Architect with knowledge of Microsoft’s Systems Center management and Forefront security solutions.
Lead provision
In a marked departure from its traditional distribution model, Computer 2000 will provide participating resellers with new, pre-qualified business leads. Its team of Microsoft experts will also help resellers take the vendor’s value propositions to market and demonstrate solutions to potential customers.
Says Lee Perkins, UK country manager, Computer 2000: “The programme is a clear sign of our commitment and determination to deliver the very highest levels of technical competency and value to our partners and thus enable them to build their own capabilities and accelerate profitable growth.”
VAD appointment
The launch follows Computer 2000’s appointment as a Microsoft Value Added Distributor (VAD) earlier this year. It has since built a team of Microsoft specialists and recruited a “select group” of resellers committed to growing their share of the fast-growing virtualisation, enterprise management and security markets.
Microsoft director of strategy and programmes, Clare Barclay adds: “We are delighted to see the development of a range of programmes within the channel, aimed at helping partners to develop their skills and specialisations in Microsoft technologies such as virtualisation, management and security.”
