Vigil offers firms ‘Free Compliance Audit’
Security distributor Vigil is offering organisations a ‘Free Compliance Audit’ to help evaluate the strength and thoroughness of their compliance preparations.
The initiative will see Vigil Software consultants work in conjunction with their channel partners to assist in a consultation with customers to help them meet compliance laws.
Complex legislation
Vigil argues the public and private sectors are faced with increasingly complex legislation such as Government Connect Secure Extranet (GCSX), Government Protective Marking Scheme (GPMS) and GPG 13 (Good Practice Guide 13), Freedom of Information act, Data Protection Act, which adds further impetus for strengthening policies.
The firm will work with its partners on the ‘Free Compliance Audit’ to understand business requirements, identify discrepancies and propose solutions to issues such as the GCSx Code of Connection (CoCo 4.1) compliance which has a deadline of March 31 that many authorities must meet.
Pressure
Alex Teh, director at Vigil explains, “New requirements and regulations such as GCSx 4.1 place increased pressure on those in charge of security, obligating customers to adhere to regulatory frameworks. Our technical resources and knowledge along with our vast understanding of the security market, enables us to establish exactly what our customers need to do to meet these regulatory requirements and propose suitable recommendations and solutions.”
