Symantec is increasing opportunity registration rebates for partners selling into the public

IT security and data management giant Symantec increases opportunity registration rebates for partners selling into the public sector.

Symantec is to increase its opportunity registration rebates for EMEA partners selling into public sector customers.  From today (November 30) rebates for registering and closing new public sector business (under Symantec’s Government and Academic buying programmes) will increase by a minimum of 100 percent.

This means Symantec Platinum partners will see an increase in opportunity registration rebates from seven percent to 14 percent (100 percent increase), Gold partners from five percent to 12 percent (140 percent increase) and Silver partners from two percent to five percent (166 percent increase).

“Insight has invested significantly in developing a strong value proposition for public sector clients in the UK and across the rest of EMEA,” explains Justin Griffiths, VP partner management and marketing for Insight in EMEA. “Symantec has the right solutions for this segment of the market and it is great to see them backing the channel so heavily. Predictability and profitability are top priorities for us in a partner relationship and Symantec is delivering on both of those.”

“The public sector is a very competitive market and we realise that our partners make significant investments,” adds Paul Lyden, director of partner programmes for Symantec in EMEA.
