Astaro puts faith in Junk

Network security vendor Astaro has added ex-Cisco executive, Günter Junk to its management team.
Once responsible for the European operations at Cisco, Junk now takes over the position of senior VP worldwide sales and marketing at the UTM (unified threat management) security specialist.
Before joining Astaro, Junk was CEO at Swyx Solutions AG, a vendor of software-based IP telephony solutions.
“I have observed Astaro’s development since 2005,” says Junk. “Astaro’s products have gained a high level of acceptance with users and partners, which is the best foundation for further growth. In my eyes, Astaro’s technology and the people who are part of this company have the capability to strongly influence the UTM market. I am excited to be joining such an innovative company.”
