Fast Lane UK names Andy Smith new MD
Fast Lane UK, which provides IT training for Cisco and NetApp specialists, has appointed Andy Smith as UK managing director.
Smith joins Fast Lane from his position as a senior director at Cisco within its Global Client Services and Operations, a group responsible for service delivery and client experience to 60,000 employees and partner organisations.
Commenting on the appointment, Torsten Poels, senior VP and European general manager for Fast Lane says, “Andy brings a wealth of experience and deep understanding of the IT services marketplace at a time when our UK business is experiencing growth even during a challenging economic climate. We welcome him to the team and hope to utilise his expertise to improve our ability to innovate and align our training programmes with the needs of the UK market.”
Fast Lane, which won the 2009 Cisco European Learning Partner of the Year award, has access to 13 training centres across the country and more than 250 certified Instructors, 30 of whom are Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), the highest level of technical networking certification offered by Cisco.
