D-Link offers 0% payment plan to public sector
D-Link has announced the launch of its BudgetWise 0% purchase plan to UK channel partners. The new scheme will enable public sector customers to way to spread the costs of purchasing D-Link products and services without incurring any charges. Channel partners who are part of D-Link’s channel programme, Partner+, will now be able to increase their order values by offering customers flexible payment terms. In addition, partners will be able to improve their cash flow as they will receive full payment up front.
Budget cuts
“The public sector is facing a series of stringent budget cuts both nationally and locally, yet at the same time their networks can’t stand still,” says Chris Davies, general manager, D-Link UK & Ireland. “The BudgetWise scheme provides our channel partners with a very attractive proposition for the public sector, covering all D-Link hardware, installation and training. Unlike other schemes in the market, we are offering a true 0% plan with no hidden charges at the back end, meaning there won’t be any unpleasant surprises.”
BudgetWise applies to the entire D-Link product range (switching, wireless, IP surveillance, storage and security) with a minimum order value of £5,000. Purchase costs are then spread over a three-year period with fixed payments being agreed at the start of the scheme that are repayable on an annual basis. All of this makes budgeting much easier for the customer.
At the end of the standard three-year agreement the title of the equipment is transferred to the customer with no additional charge. Customers can also upgrade their systems as the need arises simply by extending their terms; at the same time they can settle their agreement at any time with the prior agreement of D-Link.
For every customer that is signed up to a BudgetWise 0% agreement, resellers can earn incentive points from the ‘Option One Rewards’ scheme. Partners can earn points for an individual sales person, a sales team or companywide and these can then be redeemed for over 1,000 types of reward, including sports equipment, entertainment and travel.
“Through offering more flexible payment terms, resellers will now also be able to bring on board new customers whilst boosting customer retention and order values,” adds Davies.
New products
The vendor has also this week announced a new series of DES-1100 EasySmart switches designed to help provide SMEs with an affordable way to manage the rising data volumes passing through their networks.
The EasySmart switches help SMEs prioritise and segregate network traffic, manage bandwidth and troubleshoot network problems. “We see our EasySmart series as a great opportunity for our channel partners to offer SMEs more reliable networks without the need for their customers to invest in management skills. By working very closely with the channel, we aim to ensure that SMEs have the very best technology available to them to address their networking challenges both now and in the future, regardless of their budget,” adds Davies.
