Brocade builds on datacentre strategy with SCC deal
Brocade (Nasdaq: BRCD) has signed up systems integrator SCC as part of its plans to grow its presence within the converged datacentre.
SCC will offer Brocade’s entire portfolio of datacentre networking solutions to customers across the UK. “Customers are demanding more and more from the network,” says Alan Ryan, who heads up networking business development, at SCC. “By partnering with Brocade, we are able to offer industry-leading networking solutions that deliver true end-to-end business advantage. This, together with the ability to leverage Brocade’s training, marketing and support models, will provide SCC with a highly attractive market proposition.”
Brocade maintains that by supporting multi protocol flexibility and advanced management capabilities across network layers, and enabling convergence between SAN and IP infrastructures, it can help datacentre managers deliver “true business transformation.”
“As businesses seek to drive cost out of the network, simple point products will no longer do – customers want holistic solutions that not only reduce operational costs but also increase performance and user productivity,” says Amanda Giddins, EMEA channel director at Brocade. “Through this relationship, Brocade will be able to leverage SCC’s extensive enterprise and datacentre networking product expertise and solution support to help expand our footprint across the UK.”
