D-Link to offer 10 percent upfront discounts with new Partner+ programme

SoHo electronics specialist D-Link has announced a new Partner+ programme for UK channel partners offering four different accreditation levels with upfront discounts of up to 10 percent. The firm has also revamped its training, marketing funds and pre- and post-sales support.

“The success of D-Link is entirely based on the strength of our relationship with the reseller community,” says Chris Davies, general manager, D-Link UK & Ireland. “We have therefore made the new Partner+ programme as accessible and simple as possible; stripping out the complexity of traditional channel programmes and making it easier for resellers of any size to join.”

D-Link claims that the new tiering of the programme allows them to better address the specific needs of different types of reseller, helping them increase their sales revenues, move quickly up the tiers and ultimately grow their businesses.

As well as promising upfront discounts, D-Link says it will consider any request for market development funds, and commit to engage in bespoke marketing campaigns.  

The four tiers of the Partner+ programme are split into Reseller, Volume Resellers, Solution Providers and Expert Solutions Provider, with all tiers offered access to the D-Link Academy and Expertise Centre, which will provide them with technical training and enable users to take online examinations to achieve specialist accreditation.

Davies concedes that it has been a tough time for the reseller community over the last couple of years. “A lot of resellers are still paying a premium to be associated with particular vendors, often with very little return,” but adds, “The new channel programme, alongside our growing portfolio of networking, storage and IP surveillance products, should make D-Link a very attractive proposition for a lot of resellers.”
