Version One offers 'out of the box' document management for Sage 200

Version One launches document management solutions for Sage 200 resellers.

Document management and imaging company, Version One, is offering an ‘out of the box’ document management solutions for Sage 200 users – Output Manager, Output Manager Archive and Scanning Archive.

The solutions, says the firm, have been developed in response to increasing demand from Sage 200 users and resellers for “high quality and competitively-priced document management solutions, which are tightly integrated into Sage 200 and are both quick to implement and easy to use.” Version One claims that with these new systems in place, users can expect a typical payback of just three months.

Lynne Munns, Version One’s general manager told Channel Pro: “Resellers of our new document management solutions for Sage 200 can enjoy numerous benefits including generous margins, dedicated account management, lead generation and ongoing product support, as well as free reseller technical training.”

Version One’s Output Manager provides Sage 200 allows users to personalise and electronically deliver outbound finance documents such as invoices and statements, either using automated fax or by email (as TIFF or PDF files). Being able to electronically deliver documents eliminates the costs and time associated with manually printing and posting business documents. The firm reckons that by using Output Manager, users can expect savings of up to £1.50 per document.

Output Manager Archive includes document archiving functionality for all outbound documents created in Output Manager. This solution stores an exact image of all outgoing documents and this image can then be instantaneously retrieved from within Sage 200 or via Version One’s custom query search facility.

Using Scanning Archive, Sage 200 users can electronically scan, image and store all inbound finance documents. Barcode technology enables documents to be scanned in batches rather than them having to be scanned and indexed individually. With both Output Manager Archive and Scanning Archive, there is the option for document retrieval via a standard web browser.

Munns adds, “By using our solutions integrated into Sage 200, all imaged documents are stored safely and securely and are accessible by a touch of a button, eradicating lost paperwork. By replacing the manual filing, retrieval, photocopying and postage of key financial documents with electronic processes, the business also cuts costs, frees-up document storage space and ultimately, runs more efficiently.”
