Team CommVault has today announced that its team of (un) professional cyclists will be competing in the race of their lives to raise funds for sick children.

Supporting the work of Action Medical Research, the crew will be cycling a gruelling 100 miles each day, from London to Paris between July 21 – 24, as part of the ultimate challenge to raise an incredible £14,000.

In an effort to push funds up further, Team CommVault has decided to appeal to all its channel partners by offering a limited opportunity to become an official team sponsor.

Vince Blackall, managing director channels EMEA at CommVault (CVLT) says: “300 miles in three days is a great effort considering the teams expanding waistlines and the fact that the majority of them have not ridden for a very long time! We heartily applaud their efforts and hope that partners and customers can also help by digging deep in support.”

Donations of just £500 will not only secure a badge of honour on the team’s shirt, but they will importantly provide vital funds to this charity. As well as providing ongoing support to children facing a life-time of challenges caused by disabilities, Action Medical Research also now aims to raise funds to develop cutting-edge therapies for rare and devastating diseases including the severely disabling genetic condition Rett syndrome, rare forms of blindness and brain diseases, and brittle bone disease.

“The cause is incredibly worthwhile and the team has been training hard for the challenge,” says team director Martin Gibbons, who is also channel director for UK & Ireland at CommVault.  “We have already raised £4,500 and have a number of promised donations yet to come but we still need all the help we can get in reaching our £14,000 target. All donations will be gratefully received and every penny raised will go to a really exceptional charity. Please, please, please give generously.”
