ASUS has announced its high-end Automobili Lamborghini

Notebook-maker ASUS has added to its range with the Automobili Lamborghini VX7

ASUS has announced the launch of the ASUS-Automobili Lamborghini VX7, a sporty-sounding title for a high-end, powerful quad-core notebook.

The VX7 is powered by quad-core second-generation Intel Core i7 processors, based on Sandy Bridge architecture, and is the world's first notebook with dedicated NVidia GeForce GTX 460M graphics.

Other important statistics include a 15.6-inch 16:9 full HD LED display, 3GB video memory, 8GB DDR3 1333 memory, which is expandable to 16GB, and two 750GB 7200rpm hard drives.

On the looks side of things, it comes in two licensed colours, orange and black carbon fibre, and ASUS is at pains to point out that that it reflects Lamborghini's iconic image with its neat design touches.

Potential purchasers can view a video of the model over at the ASUS blog – http://asus.co.uk/blog/news/vx7/ - where they'll be able to look closer at the rear cooling vents which echo the iconic car's taillights and exhaust, leather-trimmed airmrests and the power button which is reminiscent of the engine start key.

Little wonder that this high-end design and kitted out notebook is retailing for a high-end price – £1,999 from Amazon and Micro Anvika.
