Kelway expands managed services to hit £260m revenues
Kelway is snapping at the heels of the channel’s super VARs after announcing revenues of £260m for the 2010 / 2011 Financial Year – a 46 percent increase on the previous year’s results.
As well as an aggressive acquisition campaign, the VAR attributes organic growth of £55m to the expansion of its managed services offering coupled with increased market share.
The top line growth has in turn driven a 37 percent increase in operating profit, which totalled £9m in the 2010 / 2011 Financial Year, compared to £6.6m in the 2009 / 2010 Financial Year.
“Kelway has established itself as a credible alternative to existing providers in the UK IT services and solutions market” comments Phil Doye, CEO of Kelway. “Following the acquisition and successful integration of ISC, Kelway has continued to capitalise on the burgeoning trend for the provision of managed services.”
“Kelway’s strong financial position allows us to invest heavily in our technical capabilities and managed services offering,” adds Dan Laws, MD at the firm.
The company says it will continue to reinvest profits in its managed services offering, including building a new services centre in Peterborough. The company is also further developing its cloud business to complement its virtualisation portfolio.
Last week the VAR became the seventh Citrix Platinum Solutions Advisor – the vendor’s highest level of accreditation.
