HP rewards programme to benefit 12,000 partners
The scheme which is not open to Gold or Preferred partners tracks partner purchases from certified HP distributors in the UK adding up credits from each HP purchase which are logged at an online partner reward account. Once a month, partners email HP proof of purchase to withdraw accrued credit at up to 100 percent of the value of HP products on the supplied invoice which is paid by cheque to a company bank account. Each time partners accrue or withdraw points, the online rewards account balance is adjusted accordingly.
The simple scheme is available to all 12,000 of HP’s standard partners and covers 14 products lines. The top three percent credits are offered on high margin areas like accessories and carepacks but the scheme also includes a one percent credit on commodity items like memory and Microsoft Operating systems brought through HP licensing deals.
HP (NYSE:HPQ) is offering one percent on Commercial Desktops, HP Probook notebooks, Compaq commercial notebooks and HP and Compaq commercial displays. Two percent on HP Elitebook notebooks and three percent on HP Commercial Accessories and HP Workstations Mobile Workstations
Says Paul Hunter, channel sales director, HP: “We are committed to helping our partners grow with HP, based on their commitment to the HP portfolio. This programme is the first step in helping them achieve this, allowing them to build on their PC business portfolio and server options,”
Although Hunter describes the scheme as a “cash reward” only HP goods can be claimed for and the firm states that rebates are paid out based on the price paid excluding VAT, delivery or any other extras.
