Atlanta Technology challenges disaster recovery model with channel programme
Cloud computing specialist Atlanta Technology has débuted a multi-tiered channel programme for resellers to deliver cloud-based disaster recovery (DR) solutions to customers.
Atlanta, which is offering a challenge to traditional DR with its cloud-based model, is targeting a range of channel partner with the tiered programme. Simon Kelson, managing director
at Atlanta Technology explains: “The channel programme we have developed aims to provide resellers with several options in terms of how they manage the relationship with their customer and also how much margin they wish to make on each new deal.”
There is a Wholesale module designed for resellers who want to white label the Atlanta corporate cloud infrastructure services. This, says the firm, enables partners to create larger margins as a result of bulk purchase discounts on cloud capacities. The reseller would manage the direct liaison with the customer, including the service level agreements.
The Referral module enables resellers to generate an annual referral fee based on the gross margin created from any referral passed to Atlanta. The referee would own the relationship with the customer; however the team at Atlanta would manage the ongoing technical relationship with the client.
Lastly, the Reseller module is based on a traditional reseller programme, which enables the partner to directly own the terms and conditions with the customer, yet rely on Atlanta to provide sales, technical and marketing support and resources.
Atlanta says it is building relationships with carriers and ISPs in particular, that sell hosted DR in addition to bandwidth and connectivity. It is also targeting IT resellers and application vendors and serviced office providers.
