Midwich to distribute NEC professional desktop displays
Midwich will focus NEC's high-end desktop displays from the 90 series, which is targeted at corporate users, and the PA-series, which offers additional environmentally-friendly features. Midwich will also be given access to the SpectraView range of IPS displays for use in the colour-critical display industry (graphic design, pre-press, soft proofing, photo- and video-editing, CAD-CAM). Particular emphasis will be placed on larger screen formats, particularly 24-inches and above.
Says Lee Baker, business manager for Displays at Midwich: “NEC wanted a specialist distributor to focus on its small format products and we are confident that we can deliver incremental business. We now stock the full range of NEC products, from interactive large format displays through to commercial data projectors, and now professional desktop displays too.”
Neil Hartigan, channel director for NEC Display Solutions, adds: “Midwich’s appointment as a distributor for the NEC Professional range of desktop displays is in recognition of Midwich’s ability to provide value added services and display technical expertise to support the sales of our more specialist display products. Midwich has achieved outstanding results selling our range of projectors and public displays and both companies plan to realise incremental business with this appointment.”
Elsewhere, Midwich has signed up two more vendors in the consumer space: Cello Electronics, a British manufacturer of LCD TVs and Sagemcom, which manufactures a range of set top boxes and PVRs for digital and terrestrial TV.
