Steljes boosts projector range with BenQ.

Steljes has announced a new distribution agreement with BenQ, manufacturer of DLP-based projection technology.

The latest BenQ projector range includes short throw models suitable for wall mounting above an interactive whiteboard, multiple data and video connections for use with both computer and video content and integrated audio speakers. Also, a number of BenQ models are ‘3D ready’ opening up new opportunities for interactivity in the classroom, says the firm.

Says Graham Wylie, group product marketing director at Steljes: “BenQ projectors strengthen our portfolio ensuring that we can offer our channel partners the best solution for their customers regardless of technology or price. The DLP market is 53 percent, in 2009 to date, of the overall EMEA projector market* and this agreement offers our reseller partners an improved opportunity to take advantage of this market.”

Adds Royce Lye, product & marketing manager at BenQ: “We have made a significant number of changes to the portfolio over the last few years and have made several products specifically for the education market. Our main goal for 2010/2011 is to be the preferred DLP brand of choice for the UK’s education channel. Steljes is the recognised leading distributor of education technology in the UK and is therefore the ideal distributor to partner with to help us achieve our goal.”
