The future’s bright, says Nimans
The Manchester-based distributor claims the purchase of the videoconferencing specialist will offer “a new world of…sales opportunities” to the channel.
Nimans chairman, Julian Niman says video will form an increasingly important part of the comms landscape: “Our market research predicts significant acceleration in videoconferencing in the SMB market. The skills available through Videonations will enable our customers to boost revenue and take their videoconferencing proposition to the next level.
“Videonations delivers a broad spectrum of high definition videoconferencing equipment; from desktop systems for one-to-one communication, room video conferencing and telepresence for group collaboration, to infrastructure solutions for multipoint video conferencing,” adds Niman. “It’s a major step forward for ourselves and more importantly our customers.”
Established in 2001, Videonations has offices in London and Manchester. Its portfolio of vendors includes LifeSize, Polycom, Radvision and Tandberg / Cisco.
According to the firm’s managing director, Ian Carter (pictured with Julian Niman), “There is less than one video conferencing system in every 10 meeting rooms across the world – so there’s huge potential.
“Eventually we believe all meeting rooms will have some form of video capability…In addition the technology has got to be easy to use and cost effective. Here at Videonations we specialise in all these areas and through this new alliance with Nimans, resellers can take advantage of all the latest market developments and industry innovations.”
