AlgoSec eyes channel growth
With the appointment of Bytes, AlgoSec expands its partner count to nine in the UK – including five gold partners – from a standing start in 2010. Other channel partners include BT Global Services, BT Engage and Pentura.
The firm also hopes to appoint a distributor in the next six months.
“In 2011 we saw 95 percent year-on-year sales growth and that trend is continuing, thanks to our partners – which is why it’s vital that we continue to grow our channel,” says Paul Clark, AlgoSec’s regional director for UK & Ireland.
AlgoSec says its selling point is its ability to compare firewall policies on devices from different vendors, which ensures the accuracy of firewall migrations as well as providing the channel with revenue opportunities around firewall migration.
“Corporate security estates are becoming ever more complex, which creates management headaches for IT teams and leads to weakened security due to misconfigurations and poor change management processes. Our solutions help to solve those problems,” adds Clark.
Comments John Gilbertson, joint managing director of Bytes Security Partnerships: “Many of our customers have mixed estates with products from multiple vendors, and need solutions that help them to manage their network security policies more easily and effectively. The automation and reduction in complexity enabled by AlgoSec’s solutions directly address this need, making it easier to manage a wide range of security devices and technologies. The solutions will also support our MSP operation, giving closer management of policies and boosting efficiency.”
