Computerlinks signs up Globo mobile enterprise platform
Computerlinks has signed an agreement with Globo to deliver its enterprise mobility platform, GO!Enterprise, to its UK resellers. The distributor says the new partnership is in response to demand from enterprise customers for mobile access to their business applications.
According to Computerlinks, the platform will create new revenue opportunities for the channel by providing a simple cross-platform mobile development environment, centralised management and deployment.
As smartphones become increasingly capable of handling larger applications, access and usability of business applications is expected, says the firm. Therefore, more and more companies are looking for solutions to manage access to corporate data from multiple mobile devices and platforms.
“Enabling mobile access to enterprise applications is a real concern for UK businesses and one that we know our partners are currently looking to address,” says David Ellis, director of new technology and services at Computerlinks. “Having the ability to deliver mobility to businesses quickly and cost effectively, whilst embracing the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) trend, is a key opportunity for the channel.”
This is Globo’s first major move in the UK and Ireland, and is a significant step in the rollout of GO!Enterprise in Western Europe. It will sit alongside other technologies in Computerlinks’ mobile management portfolio such as Aerohive, Ericom and M@D.
