Softcat on recruitment drive to support business growth
Softcat is on the hunt for technical staff after it revealed it wants to recruit an additional 40 people over the next twelve months.
In August the firm announced it had doubled its headcount to almost 450 staff in two years and said it was looking to recruit a further 200 new employees over the next 12 months.
The VAR says is wants to sign up experienced technical professionals to support its growth in a year in which turnover exceeded £300m – up from £219m last year.
“Our managed and professional services have grown phenomenally over the past year – that growth is fuelling our latest recruitment drive,” explains Sam Routledge, Softcat’s solutions director.
The firm is specifically recruiting for consulting services, as well as technical support positions, and is looking for experts in storage and virtualisation, networking, security, and Microsoft technologies. Some of the new recruits will work in Softcat’s new state-of-the-art network operations centre in Marlow, Buckinghamshire.
Softcat was voted 10th in the UK’s Great Place to Work list in 2012, and achieved a top 50 ranking amongst European small and medium businesses.
