AnyDoc predicts channel growth despite economy

By Will Garside

Automated email classification could be a major new market but UK still lagging behind continental Europe, claims Izsak.

Automated document management vendor AnyDoc is claiming strong growth despite the recession, and believes that new technology such as automated email classification could be a major revenue earner for its channel partners.

AnyDoc, whose small UK channel community includes major outsourcers such as Capita and Fujitsu is also actively recruiting, “We are still looking to add a few partners,” comments Daniel Izsak, general manager for Europe and Africa. AnyDoc is targeting partners with SAP backgrounds or with expertise in invoice and remittance processing. “Business Process Management (BPM) would also be a great addition,” adds Izsak.

Although Izsak is keen to fill in gaps he is cautious to not saturate the channel which he believes is “not good for our partners,” and envisions room for a few new partners over the next year.

According to Izsak, “Right now is primetime for us. When the recession hit everybody was paralysed but the time for being shocked is over.”  He believes that automated document processing is a good fit for IT managers making a business case for the release of new IT budgets. He also points to a common return on investment period “of between eight and 16 months” as a relatively easy sell for channel partners.

Although the firm still makes the majority of its revenue through invoice processing, of which around 90 percent is generated through channel partners, Izsak points to remittance management as a strong growth area. The other area where he sees expansion over the next few years is in the digital mailroom.

The concept is based on digitising, creating and managing workflows around correspondence and has the potential to be a major revenue earner for document management specialist.
Although it is growing steadily, the UK is still “lagging behind Europe” in the area of managing the flow of emails, believes Izsak.

Part of the lag is more to do with legal requirements of early adopters like Germany which has seen an increasing rise of email systems to support insurance and governmental contact with customers and citizens. Izsak claims AnyDoc is the first of the big document management vendors to offer a comprehensive email classification solution and believes that its channel partners can now add the capability into a more compelling digital mailroom offering.

The firm is now completing its first major project for a business services provider in Belgium using the new email classification technology. The client is an outsourcer who handles document and communication handling for external clients and Izsak believes that the implementation could form a best practice template for the firm and its partners to go after similar service providers in the UK.
