The firm is looking to fill 60 places on the Major Deal Team, with particular emphasis on professionals currently operating across the company's focus sectors: Public Sector, Financial Services, Media, Telco, Energy and Industry. The roles include senior IT outsourcing salespeople, engagement/pursuit directors and bid/proposal managers as well as those that focus on what the vendor describes as ‘solutioning’, contracting and procurement.
Says Clark MacFarlane, managing director: “Strengthening our expertise through this significant investment in our growth strategy will enable us to target a greater share of the large IT opportunities in the market. The Major Deal Team builds upon other recent investments we've made in our portfolio and delivery capability.”
Siemens IT Solutions and Services employs more than 35,000 people, and in fiscal 2009, which ended on 30 September, posted annual sales of around 4.7bn euros, of which more than 75 percent are generated outside of the Siemens Sectors.
