DNS Arrow changes name

Distributor DNS Arrow name change to Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions (Arrow ECS) signifies integration after acquisition.

Published on Jan 5, 2010

The New Year has brought a change of name for VAD DNS Arrow, which will now go under the name Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions (Arrow ECS).

Arrow ECS acquired DNS Arrow in January 2007. Arrow ECS itself is a business segment of Arrow Electronics Inc. [NYSE: ARW].

The firm, however, is maintaining that only DNS Arrow’s name is changing, and that its UK   organisation will retain its local leadership and support.

“We are proud of what DNS Arrow has accomplished since the acquisition by Arrow ECS in 2007, and the name change is a natural evolution of DNS Arrow’s integration with Arrow ECS following its acquisition.  We look forward to continuing to offer outstanding services and support to our customers,” says Laurent Sadoun, president of Arrow ECS’ EMEA operations, in a statement.
