Channel support firm Comms-care recently invited a selection of its channel partners to its Partner Golf Day at the impressive Celtic Manor Resort.

Playing golf on the prestigious 2010 Ryder Cup course, twenty four partners headed out onto the course to test their skills against one of the most demanding courses on the professional circuit.

As well as a stableford scoring system Comms-care held two competitions around the course – longest drive on the 18th and nearest the pin on the 10th. The 18th hole was particularly challenging for players, 575 yards hitting into a strong wind, water surrounding the green and the added pressure of everyone watching from the 2010 clubhouse balcony.

The day was sealed with a delicious Welsh three course meal in the Samuel Ryder suite followed by presentations for the winning team, second placed team, longest drive and nearest the pin. The winning team managed to accumulate 78 points with each member receiving a trophy and some Ryder Cup merchandise as a memento of the day.

Richard Eglon, marketing manager at Comms-care commented on the day: “Perfect location, superb course and top class facilities. The feedback from our partners was that they were extremely impressed with the whole 2010 setup from the course to the clubhouse facilities. To have the Comms-care brand associated with such a prestigious venue is very important to us and it will definitely be on our shortlist for future golf days.”
