Tech2Clear offers new home for old stock
Tech2Clear offers solution for the perennial problem of finding buyers for excess, obsolete and out-dated stock held by vendors, distributors and resellers

Technology Channels Services (TCS) has launched Tech2Clear, to address the perennial problem of finding buyers for excess, obsolete and out-dated stock held by vendors, distributors and resellers.
This new service has been developed by Robert Peckham, the founder of the Mac Technology Association (MTA) and now a Director of the Technology Channels Association following the MTA merger with the PCA last summer.
The MTA was running MacClearance, a similar service for Apple dealers, but this operation didn’t fit with the new TCAʼs plans.
“MacClearance was originally a service for resellers, but was lately receiving an increasing number of enquiries from vendors and distributors who were unhappy with the capital returns they were seeing from traditional disposal services,” Peckham says. “MacClearance simply wasn’t big enough to handle the volumes of stock being offered, so Tech2Clear is a much larger venture, offering a new system designed to optimise the capital returns for our supplier vendors and distributors.”
Peckham adds that Tech2Clear will also take a different approach to other stock disposal services.
“We prefer to work in long-term partnership with our suppliers over their stock issues, and by making sure our sell-through service is quick and efficient, we minimise our overhead to maximise the capital return to our vendors, distributors and other suppliers.”
Using all the usual routes to market for selling through their acquired stock alongside their own webstore, Tech2Clear are operating from a 5,000 sqft warehouse in Oxfordshire with a full-time packaging and despatch team.
Peckham is now inviting enquiries from vendors, distributors or resellers with any stocklines that are obsolete, out-of-date, excess to requirements or are simply taking up too much space in their warehouses or stockrooms, including accessories, software, memory, networking hardware and cables, printer consumables, promotional merchandise and any other items that are looking for a new owner.
